I was raised in Preston, Iowa where my father owned the local pharmacy. We were the only pharmacy in a small rural farming town so we were able to get to know everyone pretty well. It was during that time, that I realized how important each family is to the community. Incorporating that philosophy into my business is what I find most rewarding about selling Winchester, VA and Frederick County, VA real estate.
I came from a family of 6 children; 3 boys and 3 girls so I am very familiar with individual needs. Can you believe we all shared 1 bathroom?! I graduated in 1980 from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Business Management. I met my husband David at college and we were married that same year. David is an Industrial Engineer and it was his career that taught us how to “relocate” a few times.
One of those relocations brought my husband and I to Winchester in 1992. We thought this would be a temporary stay of about 3 years. Well……we never left. We have found the Winchester/Frederick County area to have been a wonderful place to raise our 3 children.
In 2000, I decided to make a career change and become a realtor. I was fortunate to be hired by OakCrest Companies. ERA OakCrest Realty, Inc. is just one branch of this very strong and diverse company. OakCrest Companies, boasts several divisions and has served our local community for over 30 years.
